Kit is very important to Thunderbirds. It is the first thing that unites our girls and makes them feel part of the club. The girls value their club identity, they are proud of it, instantly recognisable in it and are expected to represent the club well whilst wearing it.
All new members are expected to purchase the training kit including a training t- shirt, skin, shorts and socks. Most girls also like to have a ‘hoodie’, personalised with their name and/or the shower resistant jacket. Dresses are expected to be worn once your daughter is being selected for matches and is fully committed to the club.
(Until you have received your kit it is perfectly acceptable to wear plain black sportswear to matches and training).
Footwear: In due course, it is highly recommended that you invest in specialised netball trainers which provide the necessary support for ankles and suitable non-slip soles for indoor sports halls.

Initially, we ask parents to liaise with the Head Coach to confirm which items are required and to discuss sizing.
It is also strongly recommended that the girls try on other team mates’ kit to check size prior to ordering.
Kit usually takes 2 to 3 weeks to order, with Hoodies taking up to 4 weeks. The sizing of the hoodies is particularly important as these are personalised and therefore non-refundable should the size be wrong.
Your order can not be processed until payment is received by the treasurer. As the club is run by volunteers we ask that these payments are made by BACS transfer to the Startford Thunderbirds account as it reduces trips to the bank.

As a last resort, you are able to post a cheque but this will delay your kit order due to the time spent banking it and waiting for the cheque to clear.
The kit will be handed out by Kelly at the next training session once it is available.
